MeriBoo – “Cozy Trio” set

Knit on the bottom, fleece on top. Three pieces to keep your child dressed for the whole cold day – both at home and outdoors.

“Cozy Trio” is a ready-made outfit: a knitted top and matching knitted trousers, topped with a warm greige merino fleece vest. The combination works on its own – there’s nothing to choose in the morning.

Knitted merino wool keeps your child warm without overheating. The fleece vest adds extra warmth exactly where children get cold fastest – around the chest – while leaving their arms free to play and crawl.

The vest comes in a dual size – we make it this way intentionally so it can be worn for two seasons, while you replace the knitwear underneath. Choose the size that fits your child now; the vest will still fit next winter.

Every piece is made from 100% merino wool.

Merino wool “breathes” – it keeps your baby warm in winter and cool in summer. Your baby is always protected from overheating or getting too cold.

Merino wool fibers create microscopic air pockets that retain body heat without adding weight. When the baby sweats or the air is humid, the fibers absorb moisture and release additional warmth.

Quick tip:

Merino wool is the base layer that keeps warmth close to the body. Add an outer layer on top to suit the weather (a snowsuit/coverall). It’s important for the merino wool to be next to the skin - no cotton underneath.

Quick tip:

Merino wool as a base layer, plus one more lightweight layer on top depending on the situation. Add a winter snowsuit for going outside. You don’t need to dress your baby in lots of layers.

When the weather changes throughout the day

The hardest seasons to dress a baby for - it’s chilly in the morning, warm at noon, then cool again in the evening. With cotton, you have to change their clothes three times. Merino wool adapts on its own - releasing heat when it gets warm and retaining it when it cools down.

Fine 19-micron merino wool is thinner than most cotton bodysuits. Cotton absorbs sweat and stays wet - it sticks to the skin and causes irritation. Merino wool absorbs sweat as vapor, evaporates it, and cools the skin. It also provides natural UV protection. Your baby stays dry and rash-free.

Did you know that Bedouins wear wool in the Sahara? Fine merino wool is cooler than cotton in hot weather.

A dry baby is a happy baby.

In hot weather, the main enemy isn’t the heat, but moisture. Trapped sweat irritates a baby’s skin and causes rashes. Merino wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet. The lanolin in the fibres stops bacteria - so there are no odours, even on the hottest day.

But in these conditions, when you’re looking for maximum lightness and breathability, muslin is the best choice.

🧺 How do you wash merino wool?

🧶 Pilling on merino wool?

Small pills (pilling) can sometimes appear on fine merino wool. This is completely normal for natural, very fine fibers—even in premium merino products.

The good news is that they can be easily removed in seconds with a small comb, and the garment quickly regains its beautiful appearance.
