When I say that MeriBoo clothes are made from merino wool, the first reaction is often: “But won’t it itch?” or “Isn’t that too warm for a baby?”🤔. I admit, years ago I had the same associations because I linked wool with the thick sweaters of the past. But the truth is, merino is completely different.
❌ Myth 1: “Merino is itchy and irritates the skin”
✅ Truth: merino is so fine and soft, it feels like a second skin. Its fibers are much thinner than those of regular wool, so they don’t itch – they feel gentle against the skin. I saw just how gentle it was when I started dressing my baby, Krisi, in it 👶 – he’s never had any irritation or little red spots.
❌ Myth 2: “Merino is only for winter”
✅ Truth: merino is unique because it regulates temperature 🌡️ – keeping you warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm. It “breathes” 💨 and wicks moisture away, keeping skin dry and comfortable in every season – even in summer ☀️.
❌ Myth 3: “It’s not suitable for babies”
✅ Truth: quite the opposite 👶. Merino is one of the best fabrics for babies and people with sensitive skin 🌿. It’s hypoallergenic, antibacterial and naturally soft. There’s no need for additional chemicals or treatments to make it gentle – nature has already taken care of that 🍃.
✨ Today, I can confidently say that merino is one of the most special fabrics there is. And while it once sounded to me like “exotic wool from abroad,” now it’s a symbol of comfort and care 💛.
That’s why we created MeriBoo – so every baby can have clothes that are beautiful, comfortable and, most importantly, gentle on their skin.
With love,
Alex – MeriBoo 🐑
