Merino fleece is different from the synthetic fleece we usually associate with the word “fleece.” It is a dense merino wool fabric with a soft, fluffy structure that traps air between the fibers and creates a natural insulating layer around the body.
The fabric is dense, substantial, and warm, making the vest a wonderful additional layer for the colder months. And because it is made from merino wool, it retains merino wool's natural thermoregulating properties.
Wear it over a shirt, blouse, sweater, or fine merino layer – as a standalone outer layer on milder autumn and spring days, or as part of a layered outfit in winter.

Yes, all of our products are made from 100% merino wool, which is hypoallergenic and extremely gentle for the youngest babies.

With fine merino wool, small pills can sometimes appear. This is completely normal for natural and very fine fibers – even with high-end merino products.

Mulesing-free means that the merino wool is obtained without the painful practice of skin cutting on sheep. This is a choice for more ethical, gentle, and responsible production – caring both for the animals and for the most delicate baby skin.

Merino wool has a natural ability to protect the skin from the sun's UV rays. Its fine fibers absorb, scatter, and weaken some of the rays before they reach the skin.
UPF 30 ≈ 96–97% UV protection
This means that only a small portion of UV rays pass through the fabric.
